The owners of modern dwellings try to save heat. For this, repairmen offer expensive insulation of apartments and balconies. At the same time, you can save, paying attention to the so -called “cold bridges”. These are places around doorways, window blocks, as well as a balcony or loggia.
Experts calculated that through the “cold bridges” housing loses up to 30% heat, respectively, and the funds of the owner of the apartment. In addition, it is noted that they give rise to mold on the walls. If, when the temperature decreases on the windows, condensate appears – this is a clear sign that the dew point is shifted in this place, repairs are necessary or if it is already behind, then it is not made qualitatively.

At minus temperatures, the tree freezes in minutes. Two layers – parasolation and drywall – can be no more than 3 cm., which is clearly not enough for reliable protection against low external temperature.
If you look at the wall in the context, you can trace that the cold penetrates the room, first of all, through the “ribs” of the frame of thermal insulation structure. Imagine the perimeter of the balcony: it will be a net of “cold bridges” that freely let the cold into the room.
In this way, it is impossible to warm the balcony – this is unprofessional and not competently from a technological point of view. After the first winter, such work will want to redo or refuse to use the balcony in the cold season.
How to eliminate “bridges” on the balcony?
In order to eliminate the “bridges” of the cold, special heat -insulating balcony elements are used on the balcony.
For reliability, when the balcony is repaired, you should not grab onto the cheap thermal insulation material.
Others recommend paying attention to the thickness of the insulation or used to seal “weak” places mounting foam, mineral wool, polystyrene foam.
In some cases, polystyrene concrete blocks are used for greater reliability. But they weight the design of the balcony, in addition, the cost of repair increases.
