Walls of aerated concrete and foam concrete blocks are erected like brickwork using dressing, but only the spoon method is used. In this case, the lower block is covered with the upper only half.
Masonry of blocks is carried out on a basement with high waterproofing. The base of the outer walls rises above the blind area by more than 400 mm and is made of materials resistant to moisture – hydroelector, roofing material or hydrostecloisol.
The laying of the blocks begins from the corner of the building, while the indentation is made from the facing rows with the formation of the air gap necessary for the insulation. The glue used for masonry instead of the solution helps to reduce costs, especially since the seam thickness in this case does not exceed 2-3 mm. Such, which does not require significant costs, the masonry looks great and at the same time increases the level of thermal resistance of external enclosing structures. In practice, builders often use not very high -quality foam concrete, use the solution when laying instead of glue and this leads to a decrease in thermal insulation. It can be compensated by the use of the cement-license solution of the brand “25” and above.
