Almost every owner of a summer cottage sooner or later asks himself a question: how to make a cesspool on their own, without involving specialists? First you need to consider somewhat factor regarding the organization of the cesspool in the country.
Types of cesspool.
There are three types of cesspools:
1. Without a bottom – this type of cesspool has a storage tank without a bottom, and does not need to be cleaned, the only drawback of this pit is that the drains fall into the ground and harm the environment. We will not consider this option because of it:
A) inequality
B) fines when checking
C) the sanitary and epidemiological part
2. Hermetic pits are more comfortable for use, but this type is characterized by frequent sewage cleaning with a call in a special machine (Assenizer car).
3. Septic tank is a more reliable type of cesspool and are divided into two types:
A) a single -chamber type, when water passes through the well from the tank, in which, as a result of which it accumulates, and the soil is less polluted.
B) multi -chamber – more environmentally friendly, as there is a deeper purification of water, although it is considered the most expensive.
Choosing a place
The main thing when choosing a place you should take into account several important points:
– The distance between the cesspool and the house should be at least 7 m;
– an entrance for a special machine (Assenizer car) should be provided;
– If the number of effluents exceeds 1 cubic meter. m/day, then in no case install the tank without a bottom (although we said above that this option is not considering, but if you like to drink water from the toilet, then it remains only to sigh).
– Over time, it may be necessary to clean the sewage system – so calculate that the specialists can get to the pipes, the easier it will do, the less you will pay.

Also, recently they began to produce ready -made hermetic reservoirs from polypropylene, but the cost of such a container is quite high, but in some cases (for example, a shallow occurrence of groundwater) there is no particular choice.
The arrangement of the cesspool.
The arrangement of the pit is divided into several stages:
– Preparation of the pit
Before preparation, you need to mark the area of the pit, it will depend directly on the volume of the tank and the material from which it is made. Next, you can start working on digging a pit.
– Installation of the tank
The tank must have a hatch with a hole, it is needed to control the level of filling the tank and for the direct cleaning of the sewer
– sealing the drive
Outside, the tank is covered with a waterproofer, for this they use a sealant – bitumen.
– Installation of sewer pipes
Ideally, the pipe must be placed just below the depth of freezing of the soil, as a result of which they will not freeze in winter, but if this is not possible, then do not forget about better thermal insulation. Also do not forget about the possible physical impact on the pipes from above (soil pushing and t. p.).
– And the final stage: you need to fall asleep sewer pipes and the land tank.
