Work on the doorway includes not only the installation of the doors as such. By the way, the openings with sashes, not decorated with a relief, easily glue it, you just need to cover the whole four edges of the frame with wallpaper and glue them on the inside, combining the overlap. So be careful, especially with vinyl wallpaper – after all, they are not recommended to gluing, in their case, everything is more difficult. At each seam, you need to make a double cutting. So that the edges of the wallpaper do not be wiped, the joints should not be done at the edge of the opening.
Further, another trick, unfortunately, stating the disorder of some builders. Concerns the fixing of the platbands on the door boxes. In general, an ingenuous process can take a different revolution, if the wall is uneven, protrudes 1-2 mm outside the door frame, that is, not a flush with the door box. The reason for this can be the thickness of the layer of putty, wallpaper or other factors that builders or finishes did not take into account.
To solve this problem, on so many models of modern platbands on the back along the entire length, the middle sample is provided. If it is not provided, and the platband is not placed exactly on the wall (it means a situation where, after fixing the platband on the box, a gap between the platband and the wall arises) – you will have to choose this middle yourself using the chisel. To do this, along the entire length of the platband, lay with a sharp object a furrow with a width of approximately half the platband itself. In depth, this groove should be about 2-3 mm, gently gather it with a chisel. The process, of course, is tedious and laborious, but you can handle.
If you still did not manage to adjust the platband at the junctions beautifully and without cracks, then you can try to solve this problem using color acrylic sealant or silicone.
To do this, with the help of a painting tape, please the junction, leaving only a narrow even strip directly at the place where there will be a joint. Little by little, squeeze out a certain amount of the mass of sealant or acrylic from the tube, leafing it with a spatula. Then remove the tape and wait for the sealant completely dried up.
Well, the last useful advice: fully fix the platband only when the final wall finish is completed. Sometimes to remove the platband is a very difficult task, which can lead to unexpected situations.
