Internal work – types and sequence of execution.

January 20, 2025

All internal construction work is divided into two large groups. The first includes internal finishing work. The second group includes the installation of communications and all life support systems. The technology of the work of both groups is interconnected, requires clear coordination and should be linked in the project. Usually, work is carried out sequentially, but many are carried out in parallel, given the specifics of the building.

The interior decoration of the country house begins with the filling of the concrete base, the so -called black floors, through the ground in basements, garages and on the ground floor. Windows are installed in parallel.

If the partitions were not installed along with the construction of the load -bearing walls, then they are installed on black floors (in the first floors) or on the concrete slab of ceilings. This applies to brick and stone partitions. If internal partitions are made of light materials – drywall, wood – then they are installed after pouring the leveling cement screed of the floors.

Facing internal finishing work – plaster, putty – they are made from top to bottom, starting from the upper floors to the lower ones, and in the rooms themselves from the ceilings to the floor, and only after that they fill the finishing cement screed and the clean floors are laid down.

Hypsum plasterboard hinged ceilings are made after installing partitions and black wall cladding (wet or dry plaster). Their finishing is made in parallel with the finish of the walls. Also, stretch ceilings are installed before the final wall decoration. But raw ceiling plaster and fixation of stucco decorations is performed primarily, before the start of any work with the walls.

Doors and jambs are installed in parallel with wall decoration when the interior decoration of the country house is made. Only the door shells themselves, in order to avoid damage, can be hung at the very end, when internal finishing work is completed.

But it should be noted that often builders for convenience slightly change the sequence. For example, first tile floors in sanitary rooms are laid down, then the ceilings and walls are faced, this applies to small objects or when the interior decoration of a country house is made.

Electrical work is carried out at different times, depending on their nature. Work on the construction of built -in wiring, the fine of the channels under the cables in capital walls or stone partitions are carried out before all finishing work. But the laying of the wiring, which will be hidden behind suspended ceilings, in drywall partitions, behind the sheets of wall skin, when the interior decoration of the country house is performed in parallel with the corresponding types of work. Wiring hidden in plastic boxes, hollow skirting boards are installed lastly.

Installation of the heating system, fixing on the walls and in the window sill niches of radiators and pipes is carried out before the finish of the walls of the premises. After installation, the points of fastening of the suspension anchors are processed and the wallpaper is glued, the tiles, stucco decorations are applied.

Similarly, the installation of the gas supply system is carried out. The installation of gas, electric and solid -fuel boilers for an autonomous heating system can be carried out when the interior decoration of a country house is carried out, before the start of work, at the same time, and at the end. Typically, all such units are installed in separate small rooms with tiled walls and floors (for fire safety purposes) and therefore are placed after laying tiles.

The sewage system is mounted before the internal finishing work of bathrooms and bathrooms has begun. Plumbing is installed after the completion of the decoration of sanitary premises.

It should be noted that modern technologies for the construction and laying of communications, especially the installation of plastic pipes, made the installation of any pipeline communications painless even for the most refined interior.

Internal finishing work ends with flooring. Laminate, parquet, linoleum are laid out the last, as well as infrared warm floors (an electrician for them is brought together with the main electrical work). This applies to the tile to a lesser extent. Pipes for water warm floors can be laid and flooded with cement both before and after wall decoration.
