However, it should be remembered that the application of this technique requires a thorough fulfillment of a number of conditions necessary for the quality of work. In particular, the composition of the drilling solution plays an important role in the drilling process. For the manufacture of a solution used for drilling horizontally directed wells, four components are usually used: water, water air conditioners, bentonite and polymer additives. Consider each of them in more detail. The requirements for the quality of water during the implementation of horizontally directed drilling are quite high. Particular attention is paid to the level of pH, which plays an important role in the manufacture of a drilling solution. For a quality solution, water with a pH level from 8 to 9 is optimally suitable.Due to the fact that water from trunk pipelines is often used to drill wells in urban conditions, its pH-level often does not correspond to the required and ranges from 5-7 units. To normalize this parameter, a water air conditioner is used, which is usually a calcified soda. Bentonite is the most important component of the drilling mortar. The quality of the entire solution depends on this ingredient, and hence the outcome of the drilling process. Bentonite is a clay breed that has the ability to increase repeatedly in volume during hydration. If the space is limited, and the water continues to flow, this substance turns into a dense gel. Thus, bentonite is ideal for use as a basis for drilling solution. The use of this natural mineral in combination with special polymer additives can significantly accelerate the process of laying well by lubricating the surface of the generating tool. In addition, its use prevents the deformation and collapse of the walls of the created tunnel. Thus, bentonite allows you to simultaneously extend the operating bracket of drilling equipment and increase the efficiency of the work performed with its work. And for better binding of bentonite with water and increasing its beneficial characteristics, polymer additives are actively used. The use of bentonite alone, without the use of polymer substances, significantly reduces the effectiveness of the drilling process. There are several reasons for this, and the main one is the consistency of the solution, which in the absence of additives becomes excessively thick. This reduces the speed of work and creates certain difficulties in reverse passage. The use of polymers (both natural and synthetic) in certain proportions gives the solution of oilyness, providing, at the same time, its best fluidity. Sometimes bentonite and polymer additives are used separately, however, practice shows that they give the best result when jointly used. And in combination with high -quality technology for horizontally directed drilling, a competently composed drilling solution is a guarantee of successful work.
