Paving slabs, concrete sidewalk – the names of the same coatings for paths, roads, squares and platforms. If you compare the paving stone with asphalt or monolithic concrete, you can find a lot of advantages of the first, unless, of course, the styling is performed according to all the rules.
So, the advantages of tiles:
– The material does not heat up as much as asphalt, does not “grate” in the heat, does not emit undesirable volatile compounds and has no smell;
– Puddles are not formed in the rain, since the water instantly leaves the surface of the coating through the technological cracks;
– The coating allows you to maintain the soil sufficient water and air exchange;
– If necessary, replace or repair underground utilities, it will not be necessary to completely dismantle the road surface; The tiles are carefully dismantled, repair work is performed, the tiles are mounted in the same place after restoring the base.
Subtleties of production
In the production of paving stone, two technologies are used:
– VibroPressing – a rigid mixture is used, which contains very little water;
– vibrating – cement mixture is prepared with the addition of plasticizers.
The quality of finished products is equivalent, however, experts recognize some advantages of the vibration, since due to plasticizers the quality of the finished product increases significantly, unless, of course, deviations from the technological process are allowed and the norms for including additives are observed.
In accordance with the requirements of GOST 17608-91, products should be frost-resistant (the minimum number of freezing/thawing cycles-200), especially strong, resistant to abrasion, moisture-resistant. The main materials used in production: Portland cement M500D, crushed stone of small fractions (5 – 10 millimeters), sifted fine sand.
The plasticizer is added to the mixture to increase the strength of the products. Porcelain tile is stained to the entire depth of the stone due to the introduction of pigments resistant to ultraviolet radiation, atmospheric phenomena into the mixture.
The equipment used
The production of paving slabs requires a relatively small closed room (from 100 m2), concrete mixer, molding tables, plastic shapes, an integrity vibro -stol, three -phase power supply for connecting equipment.
The manufacturing process of paving slabs:
1) The forms are lubricated, filled with a prepared mixture, placed on the vibro -stop, where the mixture is compacted. Then the forms are laid with stacks, covered with plastic wrap and withstand for a day, while the temperature in the room should be higher than 15 degrees Celsius.
2) after the expiration time, the form is heated in a special bathtub filled with hot water (not lower than 45 degrees and not higher than 50 degrees Celsius), transferred to an open -minded vibro -stop and remove the tile from the shape.
3) finished stagnant on pallets, fixed with a heat -musted film. Finished products can be used after 7 days in the warm season and 28 days – in the cold.
Everything is quite simple and effective
