For many people, their own home is a dream, the most expensive to the heart. Starting its implementation, after the construction, each owner of the future dwelling, chooses exactly what corresponds to his ideas about functionality and beauty, his individuality and the inner world. Most people pay maximum attention to the aesthetic attractiveness of the house. However, there are issues that a private developer needs to be resolved no less thoughtfully, given the smallest details.
One of these problems is how, after building the building, the roof will be served. As a rule, there are no difficulties with flat roofs, it is enough to climb there, and all types of work, subject to certain measures, are safe. It is different with the pitched roofs, especially if they have a complex non-standard configuration. There are many procedures that need to be performed on the roof – an annual inspection of the roofing, preventive and repair work, checking and cleaning of the chimney, maintenance of ventilation systems, installing television and satellite antennas, cleaning germs from foliage, needles, mud, snow, etc. p. People who have these work are required to ensure complete safety both when lifting to the roof and when moving along it. For this purpose, special stairs are installed, which are divided into two types – roofing and wall. There are also bridges designed to safely move horizontally. The wall staircase can perform emergency function – building standards prescribe their mandatory presence in individual houses with windows located at an altitude of ≥ 3.5 m from the Earth’s surface.
Not so long ago in individual construction, the main material that was used in the manufacture of roofing woods was wood. They were fragile, short -lived and often did not harmonize with the appearance of the building. At the moment, this is not relevant. As a rule, a fire staircase on the roof is made of high -quality galvanized steel, sometimes covered with a layer of polymer, or from aluminum. For private developers, attaching special importance to the aesthetic attractiveness and design of the style of their home, this is a very important point. After all, the polymer coating applied to the galvanized steel, manufacturers give shades corresponding to the colors of roofing materials. All safety elements can be selected in the same color scheme with the roof of the house and other designs – drains, snow retainers, fences, etc. They not only do not spoil the appearance of the building, but also successfully fit into its concept, give completeness and become excellent assistants.
Wall laders are attached to the wall of the structure. During construction, this fact is required to take into account and provide embedded parts. The remoteness of the stairs from the facade should be at least 200 mm and no more than 1300 mm, the lower step is at a height of 1000 to 1200 mm from the surface of the soil, and the upper one is at the level of the cornice. Mandatory forces at the place of transition to the roof.
The roofing ladder, which provides the possibility of moving on the slope of the roof, is attached to the crate using special fasteners with mandatory sealing the junction of the junction. These safety elements must be mounted with maximum reliability. Their installation is a very responsible business that it is better to entrust professionals.
Bridges are designed for safe movement on the roof parallel to the cornice. Fixed to the roof by means of adjustable legs. Manufacturers usually supply these elements in the form of ready -made packages, including fasteners and installation instructions.
Developers who, for any reason, most often aesthetic nature, refuse to install stairs on the roof, the modern market offers steps installed on the crate under the tile. As a rule, they have an original design, are painted in the cover of the coating and are practically not noticeable against the background of the roof.
In Europe, construction standards are tougher than in our state. There, the relevant authorities may refuse to accept the house into operation if it is not equipped with roof safety systems, including stairs.
