Log houses attract an amazing microclimate and bear the feeling of unity with nature, which has become especially relevant in the modern world. People again paid attention to natural materials, interest in suburban construction increased. A bathhouse, a cottage, a country house – this is a far from a complete list of objects that can be made of such a building material as a looped log. However, with the implementation of any project, special attention should be paid to the quality of the building material used, which largely depends on the method of processing raw materials.
Escillation of logs is one of the technologies of woodworking. Oscilinding is performed on special equipment and, in fact, is the preparation of the log for construction work. The upper soft layer is removed from the barrel and the strong middle remains. At the same time, the log is given a round shape, with a given length and width, there are cuts of bowls and longitudinal grooves, and shortcomings such as minor curvature of the barrel are eliminated. All this allows you to greatly reduce construction time, simplify the assembly process. Moreover, modern processing technologies make it possible to achieve better thermal insulation and high aesthetics of the built building.
The production of a looped log is possible only from healthy coniferous wood: pine, spruce, cedar, larch, fir. The high and even trunks of these trees are best suited for use as a building material. The preparatory step is drying the raw materials. This event lasts several months, because the content of moisture in wood should not exceed eight, ten percent of the total mass. Otherwise, the house with the loss of excess moisture will be subjected to serious deformation.
In woodworking, digitization is mainly performed in three classic methods.
The first method of electoral is the processing of a clamped, rotating log by a mobile cutter that removes the chips, moving along the workpiece, due to which the log is given a cylindrical form. The production of logs in this way is optimal in terms of price/quality ratio. With minimal requirements for raw materials, it is possible to obtain a surface close in geometric parameters to a circle. Thus, almost the same logs can be made, the difference in the amount of which is only a few millimeters.
The second method of electrical circuit is the processing of a special motion -free rotor head in the logs of logs – with an electrical spindle. However, the production of a galinded log using this technology excludes the correction of geometric parameters, the machine’s head copies the bending of the log. Which implies higher requirements for original raw materials.
The third method of electoral is the processing of logs on woodworking machines of the passage type. Such equipment is more intended to work with supple for bending, thin -dimensional raw materials. In this case, the log is not fixed by the centers, but is extended by a roller head with a roller mechanism. When processing a log, the diameter of which is above 18 cm, its original shape is preserved, the bend of the log does not grind at all. What causes some difficulties in further work, the appearance of gaps, protrusions, bumps is possible. The production of logs in this way has the lowest cost.
The production of the galbed log also includes grinding and subsequent processing of wood with special antiseptics according to conservative technology, all this helps to prevent cracking and promotes better preservation of wood. Experts recommend in the future to repeat this processing once every few years.
